A changed file was only passed on when the view would still show
it, so renaming a file to a hidden name left the stale item in place
until a reload.

In double-click mode the list view only handled the middle button as
part of a double-click. Activate on middle-button release regardless
of the click policy, as the icon view does.

initial_permission_state_consistent() stored the full mode of the
first file but compared the other files against it after masking,
so with more than one file the initial state never looked
consistent. Enabling a permission checkbox then went to the
'mixed' state and restored the original permissions, and only the
second click actually applied the change.
